Recent Events at the Foundation

Announcing 2025 Foundation Golf Tournaments

Dallas. This tournament will be played in Fairview at Heritage Ranch GC. Information will be on the website in February, 2025.
Minneapolis. This tournament will be played in Ramsey at the Links at North fork on July 14, 2025. Information will be on the website in April.
Chicago. This tournament will be played in Woodbridge at Seven Bridges GC on September 22. Information will be on the website in late June.
Service Nation. This tournament rotates to a different location every year, based on the site of the fall Expo. The tournament will be held on Sunday, October 26 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Additional information will be forthcoming this summer.

10.31.24 Board Announces New Associate Board Member

The Joseph S Groh foundation announced the appointment of a new associate Board member, Tim Wright. Tim wealth of financial knowledge in taxation and business accounting. This work with over 150 trade companies and has a vast amount of trade specific knowledge which he uses in financial coaching to help organizations adopt best practices. Tim is in a unique position to interact with a wide variety of companies in the HVAC and service industries, and he will work to utilize this influence to promote our foundation for the purposes of expanded awareness, fundraising and grant giving. “We look forward to having someone with such solid contacts and business acumen on the board,” Joseph Groh said.

5.22.24 Foundation Announces New Board Member At Dallas Tournament

The Joseph S Groh foundation announced the appointment of a new board member, Tawnya Strittmatter. Tawnya began working with her husband in their family HVAC business in 2010, and this was meant to be a temporary assignment. Working together however, they added plumbing to their repertoire and grew the business substantially, sustaining 50% year over year growth and selling the business to private equity in 2021. Currently, Tawnya works as a coach for Service Nation, helping contractors reach their growth and profitability goals. People are my passion,” Tawnya said. “Being able to continue helping people is what I am excited about.” Now, Tawnya will be bringing that passion to the foundation, helping those who are severely and permanently disabled from the contracting and construction trades industry.
